February 12 at 7:00 AMWe try not to take any plastic bags, but you inevitably end up with some. I've been using them for car or bathroom garbage. I will try this in my kitchen as well. We have gotten away from using them for dog waste. We now use biodegradable dog waste bags on walks, and for the yard we use the empty dog food bag to collect several at one time...

February 12 at 6:54 AMI got reusable cotton produce bags for Christmas and have started using them - love them!

February 12 at 6:51 AMSince I will buy my veggies at a farmer's market, I decided to plant herbs to keep indoors (in/near my kitchen). The three herbs I use the most are rosemary, parsley, and basil. I think these will also be relatively easy to grow indoor in pots.

February 12 at 6:46 AMI kept a stack of reusable containers handy - easier to get to than my "tupperware" cupboard. That seemed to help me choose the container. I made grabbing it as easy as grabbing a baggie.

January 27 at 7:29 AMI am trying shampoo and conditioner bars that I was given for Christmas. They came packaged only in cardboard. I really like them. They look neater in my bathroom than bottles and take up less space.

January 27 at 7:22 AMI'm finishing up a box of dryer sheets and chose the action to "skip the dryer sheets". I learned that you can dampen a washcloth with apple cider vinegar and toss it in the dryer. It will soften clothes and reduce static! Remember to click on "Learn More" in the actions for extra tips.
