February 28 at 5:09 PMIt's very difficult to avoid plastic waste with frozen food products, a lot of the time things that come in a cardboard box are also inside a bag inside the box. But, I've been able to find some brands that have less packaging, so I go for those!

February 16 at 7:12 AMI tried to do a plastic-free grocery shopping trip and it was HARD. I couldn't do it, but I think I brought home about 30% of the plastic I normally do. I was really excited though, I was starting to see just a bunch of plastic bags and packaging in the grocery store instead of seeing them as food items

February 14 at 6:25 AMOnce I start a habit of picking up litter, I started paying attention to how much litter I spotted even when I wasn't actively looking. It's easy to see plastic bottles or wrappers along the sidewalk all over the neighborhood, and makes me appreciate how different Minneapolis would look if we lived in a plastic-free world.

February 14 at 5:21 AMI have metal containers, a reusable utensil kit, and a cloth napkin in my kit that I keep in the trunk of my car so I always have it with me.

February 9 at 9:11 AMHello hellooo everyone! Today's side quest is to see who else you can get signed up for the challenge. We're super close to breaking 1,000 participants and my next quarterly report would love if that happened

February 7 at 11:38 AMI can reduce bags by limiting my use of order pickup at stores like target- while convenient, it means I can't bring my own bags. I also realized I need to create separate storage for plastic bags I can reuse for trash/food storage and bags that are ready to be dropped off for recycling
