I sorted out all of my different types of plastic bags and took the ones that were recyclable (store only) to a Target drop off bin. I’m having more trouble with bubble mailers and have been reading about how best to recycle these (and cut down on using them at all!)

I take my reusable shopping bags to grocery store & also some plastic bags to use again for produce. Also have a mesh bag for produce  

We watched Out of Plastic tonight. It was a really sobering reminder of the global impact all of our negative actions are making. Seeing the microplastics in the ocean was an eye opener. As that finds its way into fish and other ocean animals, some it eventually finds its way into our bodies too. Scary to think about!

I was surprised at the volume of food wrappers involved in my daily life.

To see the volume of trash washing up on beaches was eye opening. It makes me want to use less plastic.

Well team, we are down to our last week of the challenge! How quickly time has passed! If you're like me, you still have a few one-time actions you might want to complete in the next day or so. Let's finish strong and try to accomplish all we set out to do! We're almost there, and the team has done so well!
