February 21 at 3:01 PMPretty good! We kept the plastic that we did produce over the challenged to see how we could cut back more. Some of these plastics were things that we had bought before, but finished during the challenge. Some too, we've started buying in bulk, like choco chips and brown sugar. Lots of dog treat bags, tortilla chip bags, and random plastic bags...

February 3 at 11:17 AMI'm having a hard time finding a good compostable floss system...I looked again at the store and didn't see reusable packaging.

January 31 at 5:05 PMIt was harder than expected to find compostable floss. I looked at the Wedge and found some options, but it was hard to know if they were compostable - nothing was very clear. I got one option and will have to do some more asking the next time I'm at the Wedge.

Though I know we have stronger than average plastic recycling markets in the upper midwest, it still really showed how much plastic doesn't get recycled, even in states that are doing better than most, and that we should be focusing on reducing our plastic consumption and holding oil and gas corporations that produce...
