  • Reflection Question
    Food Make Your Own
How do you feel about being more involved in the food preparation process? Joyful, overwhelmed, engaged, empowered? What are the benefits of choosing to process or produce your own food instead of buying it pre-processed?

I love to cook and bake, and it's been fun to try some new recipes recently. Today I made my own hummus, which was great because I could control the ingredients and save some plastic!

    At Home Watch a Documentary
Which documentary did you choose to watch? What did you learn?

I watched Plastic Wars and it was helpful for understanding the impact of plastics on the environment globally. It was really powerful (and depressing!) to see plastic that was "recycled" in the U.S. and ends up on the other side of the world, dumped in residential areas.

This was pretty easy. I make sure to have a reusable bag in my purse at all times, and if I'm going grocery shopping, I grab several bags to use before heading out of the house.
