Reflection QuestionAt Home Reuse Trash Bags Instead of Purchasing NewWhat are some of the challenges or benefits you have experienced using reused bags instead of a bag purposely designed to hold trash?
Michelle Rogers 2/08/2023 7:11 AMI have been reusing my shopping bags for the bathroom trash. Also, in order to reduce my plastic bag usage, I have put reusable bags in my trunk so that I don't forget them when I go shopping and don't need the plastic ones! -
Reflection QuestionOn-the-go Use A Reusable Mug or Collapsible CupGreat job on getting rid of your disposable cup habit! How does it make you feel? Are there any situations where you still struggle to use a reusable mug?
Michelle Rogers 2/08/2023 7:10 AMOne thing that has helped me stop using disposable cups is to every night put my travel coffee mug by the coffee maker to bring coffee to work. Otherwise, I would likely stop at a gas station or coffee shop and get coffee with paper cups. Also, I keep a coffee mug at work so that I can avoid using disposable ones. So far so good! -
Michelle Rogers 2/07/2023 5:36 AMSo far, the challenge is going well! Although I've made some good progress and have shifted away from using so much plastic, there is still quite a bit to do! -
Reflection QuestionFood Stop Buying WaterWhat are the hardest scenarios for you to avoid using bottled water? How have you been able to avoid purchasing water in these situations?
Michelle Rogers 2/02/2023 5:24 AMBottled water is super convenient, so it's easy to just grab a bottle from the store or gas station when in a hurry. I have avoided buying bottled water (and also learning to drink more throughout the day) by always making sure I have a full reusable water container at my work desk, my home desk, and in my car. That way I don't have to purchase plastic bottles of water.
