Sharon Pleimling 2/06/2023 7:16 AMAre there ways to avoid plastics in the world of medicine?-
Arlene Freeberg 2/07/2023 1:47 PMI give our prescription bottles to a resource that gives them to the Humane Society so they do not have to buy containers when the animals need medicine. I am not sure how to go about that but could check. -

Robin Chen 2/06/2023 1:40 PMWe think about that a lot. Wouldn't it be great to see programs started that took plastic medical waste, send it back to the manufacturer so they could make the same product again. Closing the production, recycle loop. Something to dream about. -
Sheila Sheldon 2/06/2023 12:55 PMThat's a really great question! I would think getting prescriptions in 3-month quantities vs. monthly would be a start. I wonder if those bottles can be recycled. I'll have to see if I can find anything out about this.

Sheila Sheldon 2/06/2023 1:02 PMI was just reading that in 2017 the FDA approved Restasis, multi-dose. Not sure if it's still around but you could ask your doctor/pharmacy.
