Reflection QuestionAt Home Make Green CleanersWhich household cleaners did you try making? Have you been able to simplify your cleaning routine?
Kristin Mroz Risse 2/19/2022 9:37 AMToday I made pledge with distilled vinegar, water, olive oil, and lemon essential oil. I put it into a spray bottle and it worked way better than the disposable dusting wands I had bought years ago! -
Reflection QuestionAt Home Ditch the Disposable Cleaning WipesHow have you modified your cleaning routine to make sure you aren't using disposable wipes? Are you satisfied with the results?
Kristin Mroz Risse 2/15/2022 4:58 PMI have old/unmendable clothes that I use for rags. Most of the time they can be washed and resused. Occasionally they are used with stain or other non-cleanable chemicals or products and disposed of. I have a few thick reusable paper towels for the kitchen but need to make more and create a convenient system to use them over paper towels. -
Reflection QuestionFood Buy Unpackaged ProduceWhy do you think these products have so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?
Kristin Mroz Risse 2/15/2022 4:55 PMI believe the plastic on produce likely started as a health concern for consumers but in reality it made distribution and sales easier for producers. -
Reflection QuestionFood Make Your OwnHow do you feel about being more involved in the food preparation process? Joyful, overwhelmed, engaged, empowered? What are the benefits of choosing to process or produce your own food instead of buying it pre-processed?
