Reflection QuestionAt Home Recycle Plastic BagsHas separating your plastic bags for recycling helped you identify how you might reduce how many you have? What are you doing differently now?
rebecca monson 1/22/2021 1:26 PMI wash and reuse any plastic bags that come into my home which happened a lot during the campaign as they housed postcards and stamps. I reuse them over and over and over.-

Reflection QuestionFood Buy Unpackaged ProduceWhy do you think these products have so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?
rebecca monson 1/22/2021 1:24 PMIn this country we are not conditioned to bring our own bags to the grocery for our produce. We are starting to change.-
audrey britton 1/25/2021 11:51 AMI haven't been inside a grocery store but a few times since the pandemic...but before that, I forgot the tote/reusable bag in the car, I'd make myself go out and get it. Worked! (Also, return the totes right back to the car as soon as they are emptied out.) -
Sheila Prior 1/25/2021 10:46 AMI've finally developed a habit of bringing my own washable, reusable, produce bags. That part isn't so hard. But I'm finding that a lot of produce, like green onions, carrots, and broccoli, will dry out if they're not in plastic, even if I put them in the produce drawer. Also they can be a little messy. What do others do about this? I need my produce to last at least a week. Reusable tupperware?
