At Home Ditch the Disposable Cleaning Wipes
How have you modified your cleaning routine to make sure you aren't using disposable wipes? Are you satisfied with the results?

My husband bought a plastic container of premoistened wipes at the begining of the pandemic so he could wipe down surfaces. I now have a vinegar, soap and timy bit of bleach on a paper towel. Towel can go in compost.

Be careful with bleach which shouldn’t go in compost since it can harm soil. Paper towels can only go in compost if they haven’t been used with harsh chemicals. I would recommend using a rag.

Ok this was kiinda dumb but one learns...I use a lot of glue sticks in my art and the plastic barrel has bothered me. so I found (on ebay) UHU ReNature which has a recyclable barrel. And then it was shipped (fuel was used) in plastic. So no bueno.
Next I will back a "glue pad" out of an old sponge and elmers. Smart elementary teacher do this!

You could look into Terracycle which has recycling programs for hard to recycle items! (If an alternative isn’t easily accessible)

I have been collecting plastic film (the stuff that can't go in the recycling bin) for about 6 months. It's diheartening how much a household of 2 can generate. BUT! I took it all to TARGET finally and stuffed it in their recycling bin, (St Louis Park Target) I am dubious if all that plastic can be truely recycled, but we will have to trust Target about that.
