    Food Make Your Own
How do you feel about being more involved in the food preparation process? Joyful, overwhelmed, engaged, empowered? What are the benefits of choosing to process or produce your own food instead of buying it pre-processed?

I love cooking healthy and tasty food for my family, and actually find it meditative in some ways. It is a privilege, as it can be quite time consuming. I appreciate knowing the exact ingredients I'm putting in my body. No "natural flavor" added to anything I make!

Made dishwashing liquid this weekend! There are lots of recipes out there. I was a bit dissuaded that I have to buy 1-3 products in order to make it. I started with the minimalist recipe: distilled water, sal's suds, distilled white vinegar, and lemon essential oil. We'll see how it stands up against grease and grime. So far so good on every day dishes, though admittedly it doesn't get very sudsy.

The store-bought versions add a sudsing agent, from what I understand. It doesn't help with the cleaning, just makes you feel better.
