  • Reflection Question
    Food Buy Unpackaged Produce
Why do you think these products have so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?

The plastic packing protects the produce in shipment and determines units for purchase. It serves the producer to cut down on waste (produce thrown away), the vendor because it makes easier to sale in units (pricing convenience).

it benefits my bottom line (financially) and my waist line! I eat healthier and less.
  • Reflection Question

It has been easy to find used kitchenware. Harder to find outdoor gear.
  • Reflection Question

My daughter's education in sustainability has opened my eyes that actions taken by individuals do have an impact.
