What did you find out about your plastic consumption by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you?

Found the plastic calculator frustrating to use.  Questions about weekly, daily use is just not relevant.  I reuse everything and have made a big effort to eliminate plastic where  possible.

I second that comment. The time frames are not helpful.  And like you I have already made so many of the changes, and one doesn't get points for things already done.  Darn!

Some actions require looking into! For example, I did a google search of home-made toothpaste which surfaced many warnings by the ADA,  then read about an elaborate recipe from a dentist recommended by the Cleveland Clinic's Dr. Mark Hymen, prompting me to wonder whether baking soda alone is sufficient.  Also spent an hour trying to find silicone bags to replace my small plastic baggies. I finally found something on ebay which I purchased. So it's time consuming to make changes!

Todd-After initial search and purchase on Ebay (cuisinart bags), I did 4 or 5 additional searches for best silicone food bags, such as https://nymag.com/strategist/article/best-reusable-eco-friendly-food-storage-bags.html . Thinking of buying Xomoo or AISHN. Several of the smallest cuisinart bags "broke". Have to be careful to avoid PEVA, which is different from silicone.

Nice sleuthing! Can you share a link, or name, on the silicone bags you found.

I just did a search and found https://ziptop.com/
Is this what you are using?
